The Journey of Akemi Yamamoto:
From Technology to the World of Healing

She worked for seven years at a major Japanese computer company, promoting operational efficiency and digitalization.

In 1988, following the birth of her child, she founded her own business with the desire to “create something meaningful for society,” launching a DTP and design venture.

In 1999, through a social entrepreneurship program in the United States, she transitioned into the world of healing.
Drawing on the sensory memories of her childhood, she opened the first Relaken store in Fukuoka in 2002.

By blending traditional Japanese healing with modern relaxation techniques, she achieved public listing and expanded overseas.

In 2010, she moved her base to Los Angeles, continuing to grow her wellness business on a global scale.
